Also notice that they give recognition to where the photos are taken from.
Although this is part of their income strategy, I don't like the tabloid style cheesy ads. This blog looks really professional except for ads like these.

#4- PsyBlog [Social Psychology]

A social Psychology blog? Not a subject that would excite me but hey, I'm not their target audience.
Apparently they have enough interested folks to make this site successful or do they? Let's find out!
This sites located in the UK and has 53,000+ readers.
Pretty plain and simple layout to this site here dealing with Emotional issues and cleaning out some foods from the refrigerator. I don't want to throw it out yet. Let's examine further.
The word count for this post was only 214 words. Sort as a comparison to successful blogs with word counts for their post in the 1000 to 3000 range. Let's poke around some more.
I counted thirteen articles including these:
This blog is cluttered with lots of ads for web hosting, credit card offers, etc. along with some ebook sales.
Time for Spyfu:
A little low for monthly clicks compared to some of the others site we've investigated nearly 25k a month.
The monthly click value is $19.4k and an exclusive keyword of 1092. Since they've been around over 11 years I'd expect a better showing.
It could be the subject matter that doesn't have a high demand. I think the excessive use of ads would make me severally depressed.
Just my opinion! When deciding how to design your blog, I'd stay away from this kind of format.
